Police hiding next to my house to catch speeding drivers at all hours into the night.?

I live in a relatively quiet area but next to a main road. The road is only 2 lanes and a bit of a hazard to speeding driver I suppose since its rather hilly and one can pick up alot of speed if they wish. My issue is not that speeding drivers are being caught rather the noise I have to endure. This cop car is not on my property but right next to it. I have to listen to this once cop car pull out of his little hidey hole in the bushes every 10 minutes at high speeds with his sirens on nearly every Friday and Saturday night sometime until 3 am. How can I deal with this? Surely there must be laws regarding noise polution? Tonight he has been sitting here since 7pm and its now 11:30pm .. talk about lazy police work, honestly. The noise of his engine when he pulls out is incredibly annoying
