I am having serious qualms about the career I was pursuing?

Risk is always when you want to pursue something BIG like law or medicine. My suggestion is to work hard and get a Bachelor's degree with the highest possible GPA. Go to a college where you feel comfortable, and meet intelligent and new people. After you're matured, you'll ultimately find your calling. I graduated with a BS in electrical engineering. After graduation, however, I discovered medicine was my calling. So, I'm in medical school now and I'm VERY happy with my choice.
