Is there a social, mental, or personality disorder in which you simulate characteristics of the alpha person?

A friend of a friend that I met for the first time, who I know is often full of crap said that he had a disorder called "social ------ disorder" in which he automatically adopts characteristics from the alpha male of a group. I believe it is a type of narcissism... but a narcissist would never admit that they are unless it made them cool. Is he right or is he just plain ol' full of himself?
