How do you clean a toaster?

No Water ! Most toasters have a trap door on the bottom that opens to remove crumbs. If you can't find a way to open the bottom, take the toaster outdoors, turn it up-side-down and shake gently ( you don't want to damage the wire filaments ) Compressed air can be used to ( gently ) blow out the crumbs also.
