Games/activities for children with cerebral palsy?
Individuals with Cerebral palsy are affected in different ways. It can involved the arms and hands, legs and feet, the upper extremities including the head. I don't know if you need to know the specifics of any one client to do this project. Surely it will be useful to someone at the center. Try this: If a client is confined to a wheel chair with a tray, a board game is an idea. There are usually problems with coordination if the upper extremities are involved so create a game that helps strengthen this coordination problem. Take a board and cut out different shapes large enough to grasp well. Sand the cutout and the hole in the board to a smooth finish. Place the cutouts in a bowl on the tray and have the client reach in and get a shape, place it in the right space while trying to beat the timer.
