Can you hear it ? The sound of silence?

LibDem MP's Norman Baker and Greg Mulholland have asked that all MP's who knowing submitted fraudulent claims to the expenses office resign immediately and forfeit their rights to severance payments This is targetting the ones who flipped homes, stayed in sisters home, claimed mortgage interest where there was no mortgage etc - the ones the inland revenue are pursuing, so that the voters can once again have confidence in their elected representatives. This would also trigger a number of interesting by- elections. However, are they really naive enough to think these craven creatures will give up their severance pay? Wasn't it all about money anyway? There's a deafening sound of silence in the halls of Westminster as this request goes unanswered!
